What is the lip lines treatment?
Lip lines are ofter referred to as ‘smokers lines’ and appear around the edge of the mouth. Often these lines are more visible when lips are pursed.If the lines are due to movement we can address them with anti-wrinkle injections. If the wrinkles are deep we may use the Fractional CO2 laser or dermal fillers instead.
How does the treatment work?
A small amount of anti-wrinkle injections is administered to the muscles that are responsible for pursing the lips. This relaxes the surrounding muscle and helps to reduce the visibility of smokers lines.
What can I expect immediately following the treatment?
As with all injectable treatments, you might experience some slight redness at the injection sights or a tiny amount of bruising.
What can I expect from the treatment overall?
After a week, you will notice that your lip lines are not as visible when you purse your lips. This treatment does not affect your smile but it can weaken your ability to whistle or suck on a straw.
Results will last for 3 to 4 months.
