Treating men with injectables is not the same as treating women. What makes a face masculine or handsome is very different proportionally as to what makes a face beautiful or feminine. For a ideal masculine aesthetic we are looking to create strength particularly in the jawline and chin area. We take a tentative approach to treating lines on the frown, forehead, and crows preferring to soften expressions and lines rather than freeze or erase.

Male Dermal Filler Injections
Dermal fillers are applied to certain areas of the face in a sequence that achieves balance and symmetry as well as to provide volume and strength of line to the lower third of the face. Common dermal filler treatment areas for men include temples, mid cheek, chin and jawline. Dermal filler contains anaesthetic for maximum comfort. You can see the results immediately and all of our fillers are dissolvable for maximum safety.
As with all injection treatments, there may be some redness and slight swelling in the area of injection. Bruising is always a minor risk when having injectable treatments. You can minimize this risk by avoiding alcohol, omega 3 products and anti-inflammatory drugs for 24 hours before your treatment.
Depending on the area, dermal filler treatments start from $660 and should last 9 to 12 months.
Male Anti-Wrinkle Injections
Anti-wrinkle injections are administered to minimise muscle movement and reduce the severity of the wrinkles. Common treatment areas in men are frown lines, forehead and crows feet. Effects should become noticeable within 7 to 14 days.
You might experience some slight redness in the areas injected immediately following your treatment. As with any injectable treatment, slight bruising is a possible side effect. The effects of anti-wrinkle injections generally take about 7 days to become apparent. Over the course of the first week, you might start to notice some reduced movement.
The beauty of anti-wrinkle injections is that as you begin to use your frown muscles/smile lines less and less, you will notice that your wrinkles and fine lines will smooth out. Your results should last for between 3 and 4 months. Over repeated treatments, results can last longer.
Male Fat Dissolving Injections
Some people say diet and exercise will fix a double chin. While diet and exercise are an important part of every life it won’t necessarily remove pockets of stubborn fat such as double chins. Double chins or Sub-mental fat can be frustrating to remove. At Facelove Medispa we are able to offer a treatment of an injectable enzyme that destroys the fat cell. Results are permanent to reduce the double chin (non-surgically without weight gain).
The injectable product is an enzyme that ruptures the fat cell wall. When the fat cell wall is broken down the body can break down the fat as waste product and eliminate it from the body. This process takes minimal time.
Once you have been assessed by our nurses for suitability you will be injected into the sub- mental fat with this product. There can be quite a bit of initial swelling lasting between 3-5 days.
Two or more treatments are required – Importantly patients may require two and sometimes more treatments for best results.
There is some significant swelling on the day after injection. Expect the double chin to increase in size. The swelling can last between 3-5 days. The swelling is a ‘good’ sign that the treatment is working. Do not take medications to reduce the swelling. You may take Panadol if you have any pain.
You may also experience some tenderness and bruising. The area can start to feel tighter with some firms lumps.. By the end of one week there should be minimal impact to your life. We recommend you take at least 2-3 days off work post treatment.
The injectable treatment is one of the best ways to reduce double chin fat without the need for surgery (liposuction).
The costs associated with this treatmemt starts from $350 per treatment. A minimum of two treatments are required.
