What is the treatment?
Microdermabrasion has been a very popular treatment in every salon or clinic for over a decade. It is a treatment which exfoliates superficial dead skin cells using abrasive crystals or discs via a suction hand piece. This is known as the traditional microdermabrasion.
At Facelove, we offer the Microhydrabrasion treatment. The difference is that the treatment is performed with the added infusion of active cosmeceuticals tailored to different skin conditions or concerns. This increases maximum benefit for active absorption and hydration, with less irritation than traditional Microdermabrasion.
Consultation and treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.
How does the treatment work?
Our microhydrabrasion. hand piece uses a diamond exfoliation disc which buffs away dead skin cells. This process reveals a new layer of skin which will appear and feel much smoother. The abrasiveness of the diamond disc is chosen to suit your skin type. Due to the element of suction, there is increased circulation in the treated areas which stimulates more collagen under the skin surface. All while active cosmeceuticals and antioxidants are infused deeper into the skin.
What can I expect on the day after treatment?
Benefits of the treatment such as a brighter, more vibrant and hydrated complexion can be seen on the day. After treatment, your skin may be slightly red and may take up to 30 minutes before calming down.
Mineral makeup can be applied after treatment. Anything other than mineral makeup should be avoided for at least 12 hours post treatment. It is important to avoid the sun and wear a sunscreen after treatment as well as avoid other dermal therapies for at least 2 weeks.
