As we age our skin thins out. It’s estimated that we lose 2% of our collagen yearly from about the age of 20. Thin skin shows signs of aging. If you want to look refreshed, a thicker dermis is desirable.
What is the fine lines treatment?
After your initial 45 minute consultation with a Facelove healthcare practitioner, you may find you require fine line injectable filler treatment. There are many ways to reduce fine lines with fillers. We can inject the fine wrinkle very superficially to reduce the ‘valley’. .
Be prepared to discuss the aesthetics of your face and what will and will not work. When filling fine lines and wrinkles often the underlying structures need filler first (a thicker filler deeper down for support, a thinner fill on the surface to reduce the ‘valley’).
How does the treatment work?
A topical anesthetic is applied to the area before we inject the silky filler (30 minutes). Our healthcare practitioner will then administer the dermal filler injections into the fine lines and wrinkles. The good news is that the filler also contains anesthetic for maximum comfort.
You can see the results of your dermal filler lip injection immediately, and as discussed, all our dermal fillers are dissolvable for maximum safety.
Our Swedish and French dermal fillers are made from a sugar chain and are easily reversed if there is any problem.
What can I expect on the day after treatment?
Bruising, swelling and what looks like a cat scratch along the wrinkle may occur the next day. Avoiding Omega 3’s, alcohol, and anti-inflammatory drugs for 24 hours before your treatment can help reduce these effects.
What can I expect from the treatment overall?
Dermal fillers should always be undetectable. The wrinkle will be much less visible, and in some cases it will be removed. Our dermal filler treatment should last 9-12 months, but this can vary. At Facelove, we constantly strive for outstanding results.
How much should I expect to invest?
Our clinic in Melbourne, St Kilda uses TGA approved fillers to fill wrinkles and fine lines. These products can start from $660 and should last 9 to 12 months.
