They kept hearing the same 6 questions over and over.
Here are the top 6 questions that the staff at Facelove Elwood hear over and over again.
Will people notice that I have had treatment? I don’t want to look overfilled or frozen.
Here at Facelove, our focus is on natural looking results. We strive for subtle facial rejuvenation. Our aim is to have people say that you look like you’ve just come back from a lovely holiday. We will not overfill you or perform any treatment that will make you look out of proportion.
What is the Liquid Lift?
The liquid lift consists of 3-5 mls of dermal fillers placed strategically for total facial rejuvenation. The placement of the dermal filler varies from person to person depending on your starting point and desired outcomes. The treatment can be done all at once or spread out over several appointments for a more gradual transformation.
I’m having a peel, will I be able to go out after/ put on make-up? What’s the down time?
All of our peels here at Facelove are light resurfacing peels, which means that most patients will only experience some slight redness. This normally subsides within a half an hour or so. Once the redness goes away, you can apply make-up and go about your normal lives.
Some patients might experience some very light peeling/ flaking of the skin a few days post treatment. Apply a moisturizer to the area for a few days and it should resolve itself. The peeling is usually more apparent in patients who have congested skin or expose themselves to the sun immediately post treatment.
How do appointments for injectables work? What can I expect on the day? Can I have treatment after the consultation?
Here at Facelove, we believe strongly in patient education. We believe that it is important for people to understand how our face can change as we age. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to speak to one of our highly skilled practitioners.
They will discuss with you different ways in which our faces age. You can speak with them about any concerns that you might have. Your practitioner will then discuss different treatments that might be suitable for your particular concerns.
We build time into our initial consultations to allow for treatment to be performed on the day as well.
Will I bruise? What is the down time for injectables?
Most people who receive injectable treatments will only experience very mild, transient side effects if any at all. Light bruising is the most noticeable yet affects a very small percentage of people and only rarely at that. If it does occur, it is usually very mild and can easily be covered up with make-up.
To help prevent bruising, there are a few precautions that you can take. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after your treatment. Avoid taking blood thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, fish oil or ibuprofen for several days prior. If these medicines are doctor prescribed, contact the doctor before taking yourself off of them.
While there is no real down time with injectable treatments, it is important to avoid strenuous exercise 24 hours post treatment.
