+ - What is the IPL pigment reduction treatment?

As we age, our skin gradually changes in colour. We develop pigmentation and redness through sun damage, genetics, dietary behaviours and ageing. The colours red and brown (spots) in a face indicate an unhealthy or ageing person. For this reason, make up and cosmetics are prolific. With IPL Photorejuvenation, we can reduce both the diffuse redness and the pigmentation. IPL Photorejuvenation is one of the most popular laser treatments worldwide.

+ - How does the treatment work?

We use a laser that targets the brown colours in our skin. This laser only heats the colour brown (and some red) and will not heat the surrounding tissue. The pigmentation spots then become initially darker (for a few days) then the pigmentation spots will simply fall off your face 4 -5 days later. Once the pigment has cleared, you will have a smoother coloured complexion. You may need 1-3 treatments for best results. You can compliment this laser treatment by using medical skin care such as Licorice Root Extract (RESET Pigment Suppression System) to lighten and brighten the skin.

+ - What can I expect on the day after treatment?

Having an IPL Photorejuvenation treatment may leave you looking red and flushed on the day. This will pass in 24 hours. The pigmentation will look worse for a few days as the spots dry out and fall off.
